Job summary

We’re looking for a Technical Support Trainee to join our support team at Semicolans — the company behind innovative solutions like SePOS, SemERP, and Semico.lk.
In this role, you’ll assist clients with software and hardware installations, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide on-site and remote support for business systems.

This position is ideal for individuals passionate about IT, POS systems, and hands-on technical problem solving.

Responsibilities:

• Install and configure Microsoft SQL Server
• Troubleshoot Crystal Reports and related database issues
• Install and troubleshoot Windows OS and software drivers
• Configure and troubleshoot POS printers, barcode printers, and scanners
• Perform basic networking setup and troubleshooting
• Provide remote and on-site technical assistance for clients
• Document all support activities and maintain service logs

Requirements:

• Diploma or certificate in IT / Networking / Computer Hardware
• Basic knowledge of SQL Server and database connections
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN/WiFi/IP configuration)
• Willingness to learn and handle field visits when needed
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
