SePOS: a POS that keeps billing through power cuts;
Shops in Sri Lanka lose sales when the internet or electricity drops. We built SePOS to bill offline, sync to the cloud when it can, and keep the owner informed by SMS and a mobile app.

The challenge
Most cloud POS systems stop the moment the connection drops. For retailers, supermarkets, pharmacies and restaurants outside the big cities, that happens every week, and every minute of downtime is a queue of customers who cannot pay.
Owners also wanted to see what was happening in each branch without being there: today's sales, stock running low, cash in the drawer and who changed what.
What we built
SePOS is an offline-first POS and back office that we designed, build and support in-house.
- Billing works with no internet, and the data syncs to the cloud automatically when the connection returns.
- The SeReports mobile app shows sales, stock and profit from anywhere, and can carry on billing during power cuts.
- SMS alerts go to the owner for every invoice, purchase, stock adjustment, expense and payment, with a daily summary.
- Inventory covers barcodes, serial and IMEI numbers, batches and expiry dates, price tiers and FIFO stock.
- Accounts include cash and bank, cheques, profit and loss, balance sheet and the general ledger.
- It handles repair job notes, loyalty points, promotions, multiple branches and unlimited devices.
